Nowadays, scroll expanders are widely used in small-scale power generation systems, such as Organic Rankine Cycles (ORCs). The development of appropriate mathematical models can help the design of such expanders, leading to optimized geometries, which in turn will result in better scroll performance and efficiency. In this work, a quasi-dimensional numerical model is developed to analyze the performance of a scroll expander.
