(in lingua inglese) - Saipem has the capability in terms of innovation, engineering, construction and installation to take care of the whole EPCI CCUS value chain; - Proprietary CO2 separation process schemes are under development and will be ready for start up and demonstration testing in 2-3 year time; - Namely Saipem has executed in the past years a number of different initiatives in terms of studies, Front Ends a EPC projects related to CO2 capture, transportation and injection; - Synergies with large scale H2 production are envisioned for CCS: SAIPEM offers a single-point responsibility for complex integrated solutions; - INDUSTRY 4.0 offers opportunities with high economic potential associated with digital interconnection through innovation, efficiency, sustainability, supply chain management and manufacturing.

(in lingua inglese) Bioenergy is one of the most attractive way to reach the goals in a sustainable manner of all the international agreements about limiting air pollution and GHG emissions. Both biomass and biofuels combustions are biogenic with slightly / no impact on the CO2 global balance, compared to fossil fuel. Biomass is a form of primary energy available globally and capable of reducing the amount of soil occupied by landfill sites. A carbon tax policy will increase the applications of biomass, generating a positive social impact through the creation of local jobs.

Saipem, attraverso un approccio di miglioramento continuo, sviluppa soluzioni innovative applicate direttamente ai processi che riducono in quantità consistente le emissioni di CO2; la metodologia comprende le analisi di efficienza energetica e la CO2 management. Le tecnologie ORC e Mini-Hydro possono essere replicate in diversi contesti industriali senza modificarne sia i processi di produzione che l’affidabilità di conduzione impianto. I risultati delle applicazioni descritte aprono nuove prospettive nel campo dell’efficientamento energetico, degli impianti industriali di grossa taglia.
